What a piece of work is a man
I realised it was only me who was stopping myself from living my life.
There are no regrets in life, just lessons.
I remember being seven and asking my mom if I was as pretty as Monique [my best friend in grade school]. And with all the love in the world, my mom looked at me and said, 'Oh, honey, you're so funny. ' So, she doesn't lie to me. . . she answers the question by not answering and instead tells me what she thinks is my greatest strength.
I always say don't make plans, make options.
I am a creature of habit.
I'm really happy. Really! I think people honestly just want to see me as a mum and married and barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. And I just want to say, 'Everybody, relax! It's going to happen. '
Anyone who sets foot into the Watchmen universe and isn't just a little nervous should be given a few days of electroshock therapy. I've always considered Watchmen to be one of the best graphic novels ever written, and when it came out back in 1986 I was as blown away as everyone else. Just masterful.
I believe everyday your life speaks to you - through every experience, through the people you meet, and even through pain, fear and self-doubt.
The larger-than-life thing is definitely what I'm after. I've always drawn dark stories. Occasionally, I'll try a perfect hero, but it's a real stretch for me. I like 'em warts and all, and obsessive and weird.
Use of the word; the word itself was not printed.
