My adult life has been a patchwork of projects, most of which were fleeting fancies of overreaching vision. I tend to seize on things, only to abandon them due to a lack of time, talent or inclination.
A life is not a waste of time
At the end of the day, all you really have is your own sense of your artistic ability and I've always stuck with that my whole life. I guess there is always a bit of relief that I have and real joy of being able to engage other people who are talented, equally or better than you, and you can work with them.
The sky is the limit. I'm just following where life takes me. It's been an incredible journey.
Life isn't some vertical or horizontal line -- you have your own interior world, and it's not neat.
None of the rest of my life figures here.
The depth of the love of parents for their children cannot be measured. It is like no other relationship. It exceeds concern for life itself. The love of a parent for a child is continuous, and transcends heartbreak and disappointment.
Compassion automatically invites you to relate with people because you no longer regard people as a drain on your energy.
Ultimately, it's how you approach things in life that puts a smile on your face.
Life always brings you what you need.
For me, Yves Saint Laurent is a hero because he fought his whole life against illness. Maybe the only way to fight this illness for him was to make it positive with creation. Otherwise he would have been lonely or in the hospital. He had so many issues with alcohol, drugs, and everything, this explains a lot about his necessity to create.
I eat as much as I ever did, I drink more than I should, and my sex life is none of your goddamned business.
To live more voluntarily is to live more deliberately, intentionally and purposefully - in short, it is to live more consciously. We cannot be deliberate when we are distracted from life. We cannot be intentional when we are not paying attention. We cannot be purposeful when we are not being present.
We simply prefer to deny death or tragedy at all costs and, with it, a fundamental aspect of life. We do this instead of acknowledging that suffering represents one of the strongest incentives of life, which is the base of human solidarity and what brings intensity to happiness.
Has your relationship with God changed the way you live your life?
The cost of a thing is something called life which is given in exchange for it.
Any fool can destroy trees. They cannot run away; and if they could, they would still be destroyed,-chased and hunted down as long as fun or a dollar could be got out of their bark hides, branching horns, or magnificent bole backbones. Few that fell trees plant them; nor would planting avail much towards getting back anything like the noble primeval forests. During a man's life only saplings can be grown, in the place of the old trees-tens of centuries old-that have been destroyed.
Not everybody's confident their whole life.
Life's a car ride. . . Sometimes it's cruise control down smooth highways. Other times it's potholes on rural roads.
We think about all of our tomorrows, but we don't know how many there are, so let's start making the most of our Todays!
