Authentic Christianity should lead to maturity, personality, and reality. It should fashion whole men and women living lives of love and communion
Praise, or gratitude, is love or faith in action.
Most of life's battles are fought inside ourselves, & our greatest periods of growth usually come during crises.
Life. . . is a joyful expression of love, praise and thanksgiving instead of a hopeless struggle which eventually ends in death. Giving thanks in every circumstance, we forego the logic and reason which asks, "Why me?" and open our hearts and learn to trust. Every obstacle becomes an occasion for rejoicing. We put love at the center of our universe and we are lifted beyond the world of limitation, doubt, and fear into the realm of love, hope, and eternal happiness.
The law of gratitude is universal. It is a natural function of the soul. All things upon this earth or in the universe operate and respond to love and praise.
Being thankful is also the law of increase. What we give thanks for is automatically multiplied. If we have only a dime and give thanks for it, it will soon be increased. If we resent our position and dwell upon what we lack, that is exactly what we get back.
The only person to whom your love belongs is the one to whom your love belongs.
You can't really imagine every moment of a movie in the same way that you wouldn't expect a novelist to envision every sentence of his 800-page novel.
For once, you're going to hear something that doesn't fit into your neat, compartmentalized world of order and logic and reason.
Hope springs eternal.
A lot of issues were on the ballots. In New York City there was Proposition 14. That would put a ceiling on the number of late-night talk shows. And California passed Proposition 21. That would change guacamole officially to guac.
