You know there was always a confusion that punk was a style of music.
Any deviation is looked upon as a perversion, is feared, and is usually a target of hatred and prejudice.
It is the fool who thinks he cannot be fooled.
Most important to any fake story is a plausible, realistic edge with a satirical twist that is topical.
The media's job is to question a premise.
What do we believe? Why do we believe it?
My challenge as a satirical artist is how to present ideas to people to enable them to question and reexamine their beliefs. My hope is, that my work provokes people to look at things in a new way.
You must be willing to give total unconditional love to everyone, under all circumstances. That means being willing to be totally responsible for what you do and how you do it.
It's depressing to see blacks wanting to dive into the mainstream of American commercial life. They come from a magnificent African culture based on aesthetics, and they all want to become fort builders like the vicious people who originally enslaved them.
After she was gone there would be no one who knew the whole of her life. She did not even know the whole of it! Perhaps she should have written some of it down. . . but really what would have been the point in that? Everything passed, she would too. This perspective offered her an unexpected clarity she nearly enjoyed, but even with this new clarity the world offered no more explanation for itself than it ever had.
Gossip is a very dangerous tool. We should be more wary of the gossiper, and not the gossip they're trying to relay to you.
