I am 55 years old now. It takes three years to write one book. I don't know how many books I will be able to write before I die. It is like a countdown. So with each book I am praying - please let me live until I am finished.
Our lives have a countdown clock that we can't see. Mine reminds me to only do work that matters.
Does anyone find it ironic how a program aimed at old people is called 'Countdown'?
I loved doing 'Countdown. ' I now consider that I was very, very lucky - not just because it was such a wonderful show to do, but because it lasted for so long.
The countdown reached ten seconds and I could almost hear an invisible crescendo of stirring background music. 'Anchors aweigh!' Five, four, three, two, one. . . and we had ignition!
He loved what he did, he loved being on Countdown - he just loved life
I have had stalkers over the years. The police deal with it but it is very scary. One man kept turning up where we filmed 'Countdown in Leeds,' which was scary. It was sad as he'd been sectioned and thought I was talking to him through the TV.
