Sadness is very close to hate.

Statistically, Portland, Oregon has the most street kids, like kids that run away from home and live on the street. Its like a whole culture thing there. If you walk around on the streets, there are kids living on the streets, begging for money, but its almost like a cool thing. They all just sit around and play music and squat.
In L. A. , it's very easy to be healthy, because everybody there is so health conscious that no matter where you go, everybody is exercising or eating very healthy, and they have a lot of farmers markets. The problem is when you go on location or I go home to Wisconsin. That's where it gets difficult.
I think that just being alive inspires me.
I try to just take in every moment of being alive.
I know it sounds very cliché and not very exciting, but if I'm outdoors - in the wild or the ocean or the forest - it inspires me.
I found that dance, music, and literature is how I made sense of the world. . . it pushed me to think of things bigger than lifes daily routines. . . to think beyond what is immediate or convenient.
I've always loved movies but everyone loves movies, so I never conceived of the fact that I could actually be in them. In high school I had some friends in the drama department, but they were just doing plays, and I was like, "Eh, I don't really think that that's me. " So I just played sports. Then, a bunch of years later, I'm acting.
The whole fauna of human fantasies, their marine vegetation, drifts and luxuriates in the dimly lit zones of human activity, as though plaiting thick tresses of darkness. Here, too, appear the lighthouses of the mind, with their outward resemblance to less pure symbols. The gateway to mystery swings open at the touch of human weakness and we have entered the realms of darkness. One false step, one slurred syllable together reveal a man's thoughts.
[I do] my manicurepedicure once a week. When I'm on the road, I use the hotel or whoever I call. But in Miami I have my own person.
