Government is at best but an expedient; but most governments are usually, and all governments are sometimes, inexpedient.

It's the beauty within us that makes it possible for us to recognize the beauty around us. The question is not what you look at but what you see.
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately.
You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment. Fools stand on their island opportunities and look toward another land.
