There are so many (negative) things out there on television and movies right now. Even the daily news, it gets depressing.
I've been fortunate in that I've been able to have that balance as an actress to be able to do the wild, fun action movies and also be allowed to do the dramas. Hopefully, if I'm able to keep that balance, I'd love to always try to do both.
A lot of people are doing television now. Great, legendary actors are doing movies on cable and stuff now, and you can't blame them, because they're still doing adult dramas and adult comedies on those stations.
I'm a fan of good horror movies.
To me, the scariest movie ever made to this day is 'The Exorcist. ' It still scares the living hell out of me, and it's because of the fantasy element. It's the exorcism. It's the Devil. It's not a guy breaking into your house trying to torture you or cut your whatever off. Those kinds of movies don't do it for me, and I don't call them horror.
Even the worst Bond movies, there's something to love about them.
I do read a lot. I read more than I watch movies.
My favorite thing about movies is the ending, and so all my favorite movies have really great endings.
What I really wanted wasn't what I thought I was supposed to want. It wasn't what people had told me I should want or that books and movies and TV had put across. What I really wanted was to be a working artist, which I am.
I didnt quit movies. They quit me.
I like high impact movies.
I sit at home and read books. I watch movies. I watch television. I go and play golf. I don't go to nightclubs. I don't go out to dinner that often. I'm not a big party guy.
For better or worse, I take my acting seriously. I may not have been in the best movies ever made, but I take it deathly serious, and I love being an actor.
You know, usually with movies there are periods, dark areas, where I might not be getting what I wanted out of a theme. I'll have to go over and over it again.
Before every shot, I go to the movies
I always knew America was all about guns. You go to the movies as a kid, everybody's got a gun.
Things are going great in every part of my life except movies. That's okay. I've got a lot of other parts of my life. I've made 15 movies. You can see any one of my movies and it says the same thing.
A lot of movies aren't intended for everybody.
I know that in order to be considered successful, youre supposed to do two or three movies a year. I only work once every year-and-a-half, sometimes two years. I have children to raise.
The only reason anyone goes to Broadway is because they can't get work in the movies.
