As a writer and director, I want to know what is behind the good manners and soft voice. Who is inside the silhouette?
What we've got here is. . . failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach.
Morons. I've got morons on my team.
Some are born to fail. Others have it thrust upon them.
Age is as much an asset for character players as it is for good wine. Human experiences, both good and bad, leave their marks on one's face and bearing. A few lines on the face and a few gray hairs coupled with the idiosyncrasies an actor adopts throughout life help out round out the actor's personality. So far as I'm concerned, the older a character actor gets, the firmer his position is.
If it's an amazing role, I'll do anything.
If people wanted to fight me-because of my hair or because my skin was too dark-then I fought them
. . . we may be able to prove conclusively that all men are born with potentially brilliant intellects. . . and that the source of cultural creativity is the consciousness that springs from social cooperation and loving interaction. . . the majority of us live far below our potential, because of the oppressive nature of most societies.
Seems to me home is where I am loved and safe and needed.
