Whether you want to be the top violinist or a CEO, strangely enough, hard work and perseverance can overcome a lot of things.
You know, as a young child, I lay in my bedroom and I swore to myself then: 'I'm not going to smoke and I'm not going to drink. ' And I said I'm not going to just say that when I'm a kid. I'm going to stick to that as an adult. I kept that in mind my whole life.
My philosophy is, "murder the rapist in your mind so you stop killing yourself. " I've seen, in my lifetime, that sexual abuse has turned into self-abuse. When I kill the rapist inside of me, I will stop killing myself.
The way I dress and carry myself, a lot of people find it intimidating. I think my whole career can be boiled down to the one word I always say in meetings: strength.
We must have a better word than "prefabricated", why not "ready-made"?
