Neale Donald Walsch (born September 10, 1943) is an American author of the series Conversations with God. He is also an actor, screenwriter, and speaker.
The highest thought is always a thought which contains joy.
I actually hear into life - seeing everything that's occurring as a conversation with God in some form. So it really is the next song on the radio - a chance utterance of a friend on the street - it really is what's happening right now. I stop and think, 'What is life trying to tell me right now?' And "What does my soul know about this?'
You are okay just the way you are. . . and so is everybody else. Sometimes we want the kind of acceptance that we are not willing to give. Yet life is a two-way street, and we do so much better when we send to others what we want them to send to us. Just a gentle reminder today that you are wonderful, and the person right next to you is, too!
There is not a day that goes by that does not include a conversation with God. There is not a day that goes by that does not contain signs. There are many days that go by on which we do not hear the conversation, do not see the signs. So stay awake.
I tell you this: There is no coincidence, and nothing happens "by accident. " Each event and adventure is called to your Self by your Self in order that you might create and experience Who You Really Are.
I grant you that frustration is a very mild form of fear, yet it is fear nonetheless.
Must you know that yours will be the “better” picture before you pick up the brush and paint? Can it not simply be another picture? Another expression of beauty? Must a rose be “better” than an iris in order to justify it’s existence? I tell you this: you are all flowers in the Garden of the Gods.
You can only succeed. You cannot fail. Failure is impossible; it is an illusion. Nothing is a failure. Nothing. Everything moves the human story, and hence the process of evolution, forward. Everything advances you on your journey.
I think the biggest single improvement, or change, that a person could make in one's life would be to come to a deeper understanding, a more expanded awareness of who they are, of who God is, of what God wants, of what life is really about, of the purpose of life.
It has been said that if you don't see God in the profane and the profound, you're missing half the story. That is a great Truth.
You cannot make a mistake, you can only make a decision that will be your next best step.
You are not a human being. You are not your body, you are not your mind, and you are not your soul. These are things that You have. The You that has these things - indeed, that has given your Self these things - is far bigger than any of them, and even all of them put together.
Pain results from a judgment you have made about a thing. Remove the judgment and the pain disappears.
If you do not go within, you without
If you listen to your soul you will know what is "best" for you, because what is best for you is what is true for you.
Life is a creation, not a discovery. You do not live each day to discover what it holds for you, but to create it
You don't want to know the Truth, you want to know the truth as you understand it. This is the greatest barrier to your enlightenment. You think you already know the truth! You think you already understand how it is. So you agree with everything you see or hear or read that falls into the paradigm of your understanding, and reject everything which does not.
It will take an unprecedented act of courage, on a grand scale. You may have to do something virtually unknown in the annals of human history. . . . You may have to give up some of your most sacred beliefs. . . . let me make something clear.
I can honestly say that probably 95% of the things I was afraid of, it turned out I had no reason to be. So drop fear by the wayside. Just. . . let it go. Then make way for a surprising tomorrow.
Nothing stops the forward march of any creative endeavor like the need to do it absolutely perfectly. And who is to judge what is 'perfect' anyway? What I have judged full of flaws so many others have called terrific. Maybe the definition of Perfection is something that actually gets done.
