Michelle Marie Pfeiffer (/ˈfaɪfər/; born April 29, 1958) is an American actress and producer. She began her acting career in 1978 and had her first leading role in the musical film Grease 2 (1982). She went on to receive mainstream attention for her breakthrough performance as gangster moll Elvira Hancock in Brian De Palma’s crime thriller Scarface (1983). Her subsequent roles in Dangerous Liaisons (1988), The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) and Love Field (1992), garnered her three Academy Award nominations.
