There's been a lot of simple vilification of right-wing people. It's really easy to say, 'Well, you're Christian, you're anti-this and that, and I hate you. ' But to me, it's more interesting to say, 'What is this person like and how do they really think?'
What I do know is that Charlie Hebdo cartoonists have been converted into the closest thing the West has to religious-like martyrs in the war against radical Islam, which means that anything short of pure reverence for them generates tribal rage and vilification.
The Koran and the laws of all civilized nations legislate against the vilification of religions.
It's either vilification or sanctification, and both piss me off.
