We know that you must be very Upset and sad But just to let you know That we are here for you Should you need Help and support At this very sad and hard time That you must be going through
I belong to a nation which over the past centuries has experienced many hardships and reverses. The world reacted with silence or with mere sympathy when Polish frontiers were crossed by invading armies and the sovereign state had to succumb to brutal force.
It's no good being nice and young and naive. There's no good in that at all. You've got to do it all yourself, and you've gotta learn quick. And you can't look for sympathy either.
A sympathy in choice.
May tender memories soften your grief, May fond recollection bring you relief, And may you find comfort and peace in the thought Of the joy that knowing your loved one brought. . . For time and space can never divide Or keep your loved one from your side. When memory paints in colors true, the happy hours that belonged to you.
In your heart must well that sympathy which soothes away all pains from the hearts of others.
The sympathy of most people consists of a mixture of good-humour, curiosity, and self-importance.
All around you are people whose lives are filled with trouble and sorrow, and they need your compassion and encouragement.
It is the duty of every cultured man or woman to read sympathetically the scriptures of the world. If we are to respect others' religions as we would have them respect our own, a friendly study of the world's religions is a sacred duty.
Solidarity, compassion, caring, communion and loving. Such values and inner powers can lay the foundation of a new paradigm of civilization, the civilization of the humanity reunited in the Common House, on the Planet Earth our mission is to celebrate the greatness of Creation and connect it again to the Core where it came from and to where it will go, with care, lightness, joy, reverence and love.
Cold sinks in, there to stay. And people, they'll leave you, sure. There's no return to what was and no way back. There's just emptiness all around, and you in it, like singing up from the bottom of a well, like nothing else, until you harm yourself, until you are a mad dog biting yourself for sympathy. Because there is no relenting.
All my life I still have found, and I will forget it never; Every sorrow hath its bound, and no cross endures forever.
