Wayne Robert LaPierre, Jr. (born November 8, 1949 in Schenectady, New York) is an American gun rights lobbyist. As executive vice president of the National Rifle Association, he advocated armed guards for schools in response to the school shootings at Sandy Hook and Stoneman Douglas.
