In the world of love, it takes more than love to make someone happy
If a castle gets destroyed, you just build a new one. If you wanted me to I'd build them over and over. Let's build them together.
For someone so violent, he has a gentle face, doesn't he?
People forget what they want to forget.
I'll protect you. I'll stand by you if anything happens.
If you're dirty, what in this world isn't?!
From MARS Volume 3 by Fuyumi Soryo: Kira: “Why do you go through all that just to race? I guess asking that is the same thing as asking why I draw…. probably because I’m alive…. that’s all there is to it. I sense colors in you. They’re strong and beautiful…. and sad. I wondered what your colors were for a long time. They’re the colors of the sunset…the blazing shades of a sunset that burn just before the darkness sets in. You said it was nothing, but there’s no one as alive as you.
The things that really shake the human soul aren't beauty or kindness. Although such things are certainly moving, but those feelings don't last long. But. . . anger or sadness are different. They leave an undelible mark. Even after the wound heals. . . you can never forget the pain completely.
There's always someone who cares. Someone whose life would simply stop. You just don't know it yet, or you haven't found them yet.
People seem weak, but they’re strong. They seem strong, but they’re weak. No matter how much you cry, you still have to sleep. And you even get hungry. You suddenly realize you’re doing the same things you did yesterday. You say hi to your friends and smile just like you did yesterday. Life goes on as if nothing ever happened… I want to go somewhere… Anywhere… Somewhere where I can forget everything. …where I’ll forget everything …and be reborn. Mars Volume 18
It's okay to cry. There's no reason to hold back.
I don't know what lies ahead, but I want to keep going forever.
You all say the same thing. When something bad happens, everyone tells you to forget about it. But, I don't think you can forget that easily. You may be able to pretend you've forgotten, but I don't think anyone can completely forget.
It's honest to admit you'll kill someone because you hate them.
Human minds are limitless, like space. It may be foolish for a person to even try to deliberately affect another person's mind.
People seem weak, but they're strong. They seem strong, but they're weak.
Kira: "Why did Sei choose death? Was it simply to end his pain? Or. . . No matter what shape he was in or how crazy it was. . . maybe he wanted to live on forever in Rei.
