I think suicide is sort of like cancer was 50 years ago. People don't want to talk about it, they don't want to know about it. People are frightened of it, and they don't understand, when actually these issues are medically treatable.
Simply put, killing healthy or treatable animals is immoral.
Asthma is treatable and well can be controlled.
Signs of a poorly understood but treatable house fire requires action, not inaction.
What I can argue is that no one should have to die of a disease that is treatable.
Strokes are preventable and treatable. Prompt treatment of patients experiencing stroke saves lives and reduces disability.
