Horse is fine. I'll ride a horse.
When you fly across the country in an airplane the country seems vast; but it isn't vast. It's all connected by roads one can ride a bike down. If you watch the news and there's a tragedy at a house in Kansas, that guy's driveway connects with yours, and you'd be surprised by how few roads it takes to get there.
There was a small wooden gazebo built out over the water; Isabelle was sitting in it, staring out across the lake. She looked like a princess in a fairy tale, waiting at the top of her tower for someone to ride up and rescue her. Not that traditional princess behavior was like Isabelle at all. Isabelle with her whip and boots and knives would chop anyone who tried to pen her up in a tower into pieces, build a bridge out of the remains, and walk carelessly to freedom, her hair looking fabulous the entire time.
The possibility of physical and mental collapse is now very real. No sympathy for the Devil, keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride.
I think sometimes people become quite emotional about the characters as well, and that's pretty cool that you can get that emotion out of people. And I think that's more my motivation than like, "Hey I want to be the funny guy, I want to be that famous funny guy. " That doesn't sit as well with me as the idea of taking people on this ride and taking them into the illusion of the characters. That's much more exciting for me.
It's not getting from A to B. It's not the beginning or the destination that counts. It's the ride in between. . . This train is alive with things that should be seen and heard. It's a living, breathing something -- you just have to want to learn its rhythm.
It's not the beginning or the destination that counts. It's the ride in between.
I am on an emotional roller coaster ride to survive and to conquer obesity, not only for myself but also for everyone that battles some kind of addiction.
I try to ride my horses three times a week. It's nice to be out in nature, where you can't take a phone call.
Everyone should ride the bus so that I can drive.
Try not to try to hard, it's just a lovely ride;)
My wife and I, we like to ride where there's not much traffic.
Speak your mind, but ride a fast horse.
If the ride is more fly, then you must buy.
we're all bozos on the bus, so might as well sit back and enjoy the ride.
I'm just enjoying the ride. I'm just contributing what I can.
But it does no good--solves nothing--to distance myself from the front lines of human need by using the mail as a safe shelter. I believe that serving the best ends of humanity means getting out in the middle of it just as it is, not staying home writing checks and thinking hopeful thoughts. The world does not need tourists who ride by in a bus clucking their tongues. The world as it is needs those who will love it enough to change it, with what they have, where they are. And you're damned right that's idealistic. No apology. When idealism goes into the trash as junk mail, we're finished.
There is not one right way to ride a wave.
I looked down again at the sign in my hand - ENJOY THE RIDE! - and it seemed, suddenly, to be just that. A sign.
