Everyone I know who is having success in film right now is there because of persistence.
Persistence may not solve everything - at least in our lifetime - but it is truer to the meaning of life for us to wait for another plowing, another seeding, another harvest, then not.
Attitude, humor and action (persistence) will whip fears and rejection. Fear of failure doesn't exist, if you believe it doesn't.
Success is the process of having a wonderful experience going for, getting, and having what you want.
For a wound to heal, you have to clean it out. Again, and again, and again. And this cleaning process stings. The cleaning of a wound hurts. Yes. Healing takes so much work. So much persistence. And so much patience. But every process has an end and an appointed term. Your healing will come. . . And like all created things, your worldly pain will die.
The conditions that direct the order of. . . the living world. . . are marked by their persistence in improving the birthright of successive generations.
I think that persistence and stubbornness and hard work are probably, at the end of the day, more important than the willingness to take a risk.
