I know in college, a player is playing for something every year so it is constantly competitive while in residency although you're playing with the top players in your age, you don't have many competitions other than the U-17 or U-20 World Cups.
I'm fairly competitive.
I don't have a competitive bone in my body, so the last thing I want to do is be competing with people.
You still have that competitive thing where you want to try to make hits. That won't go away, unless the mayor of show business says my time's up.
Univa developing and supporting Grid Engine is welcome news for the GE community. This move by Univa brings with it a new competitive spirit and sense of innovation to a market that continuously benefits from pushing the envelope.
Maybe I'm competitive. I just feel like I have this gift that I've been given. It's like, "Someone unwrap it! Here it is!" That drive can't be held down. I have a lot of ambition.

One thing people underestimate is how markets don't allow anyone to do anything except make better and better products. There's not much leeway. The world is a lot more competitive than most people think, particularly in a high-technology area. I'll also make sure that America has trade relations with China that work for us. I've watched year in and year out as companies have shut down and people have lost their jobs because China has not played by the same rules, in part by holding down artificially the value of their currency. It holds down the prices of their goods. It means our goods aren't as competitive and we lose jobs. That's got to end.

[Aldous Huxley] compared the brain to a 'reducing valve'. In ordinary perception, the senses send an overwhelming flood of information to the brain, which the brain then filters down to a trickle it can manage for the purpose of survival in a highly competitive world. Man has become so rational, so utilitarian, that the trickle becomes most pale and thin. It is efficient, for mere survival, but it screens out the most wondrous part of man's potential experience without his even knowing it. We're shut off from our own world.
First of all, it would be great for world football to have a competitive Chinese team as China traditionally has deep relation to sports in general.
I think people who are compelled to achieve never really think they've achieved. . . I think the moment you get to a place when you think 'Oh I'm a fashion legend' then that's when you're no longer competitive in your field.
When you find errors in conventional wisdom-when everyone says A and A is not true-you gain competitive advantage. Only a few times do you have to find errors in conventional wisdom to make a living.
To meet the demands of the fast-changing competitive scene, we must simply learn to love change as much as we have hated it in the past.
Many people have a very hard time truly believing that doing the right thing by others, striving to serve them to the greatest extent, can actually be a competitive advantage.
There are probably still people that are competitive with each other, but I don't feel that's necessary. I like when we lift each other up.
I've never been competitive with anybody but myself.
