Salvador Floro Bernal (1945 – October 26, 2011) was an acclaimed artist from the Philippines.
Work not of enthusiasm but of love, conscious of duty-which means self-denial.
Because of his supernatural outlook, he could always work very calmly and effectively and finish things on time. This was a reflection of the reality of a harmonious and attractive blend of prayer and action. It clearly showed that the sensibilities of a contemplative soul in no way lead to agitation or nervousness.
He simply contemplated human realities from a divine perspective.
. . . great feeling of enthusiasm. . this human component began to fade away, leaving only that supernatural enthusisam which must always be at the root of our perseverance.
