Josh Mandel Biography

Joshua Aaron Mandel (born September 27, 1977) is an American Republican politician who is the State Treasurer of Ohio. Mandel is a former city councilman and member of the Ohio House of Representatives. He was the unsuccessful Republican challenger to incumbent Senator Sherrod Brown in the 2012 U.S. Senate election. In 2016, he announced his intention to again challenge Brown in 2018; he withdrew on January 5, 2018, citing family health reasons.
