Acting is a really insular thing.
I didn't cheer in high school. I was the farthest thing from a cheerleader in high school. We made fun of cheerleaders. Everybody did!
All opening moves were the same, like in chess. You don't have to come up with anything new, there's no point, because you're both after the same thing anyway. The game soon finds its own way and it's only at that point that you need a strategy.
The fine arts thing at college was always too much for me to think about. What I was more involved in was being successful at arts school.
Freedom and responsibility aren't interconnected things. They are the same thing.
