When our will wholeheartedly enters into the prayer of Christ, then we pray correctly.
May the perfect grace and eternal love of Christ our Lord be our never-failing protection and help.
I have studied many religions, many different persuasions of thought in Christian belief, and I have come, in this experience to this: the most important question in anyone's life is the question asked by poor Pilate in Matthew 27:22: 'What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called Christ?' No Other question in the whole sweep of human experience is as important as this. It is the choice between life and death, between meaningless existence and life abundant. What will you do with Christ? Accept Him and life, or reject Him and die? What else is there?
To ignore Scripture is to ignore Christ.
You aren't what's been done to you but what Jesus has done for you. You aren't what you do but what Jesus has done. What you do doesn't determine who you are. Rather, who you are in Christ determines what you do.
I see in my neighbor the Person of Jesus Christ.
I try to walk like Christ in my life. If I strike out, I don't curse, or throw my bat or hit things back in the dugout, I try to quietly just put my helmet back. I may be very upset but I try to control myself.
God is not counting our sins against us because He is counting our sins against Christ.
Jesus Christ never thinks about what we have been! He always thinks about what we are going to be.
Faith never makes herself her own plea, she rests all her argument upon the blood of Christ.
I beg you to show the greatest possible reverence and honor for the most holy Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom all things, whether on earth or in heaven, have been brought to peace and reconciled with Almighty God
Ah, Christ, I love you rings to the wild sky And I must think a little of the past: When I was ten I told a stinking lie That got a black boy whipped.
Then fear will grow pale and fade away, and you will be free, through your faith in our strong and living Savior, Jesus Christ.
When he looked at me, his eyes positively twinkled. Christ. I was screwed. Eyes were twinkling at me.
Surely the greatest social injustice is that 2 billion people haven't heard of God's love in Christ.
Christ has made of death a narrow starlit strip between the companionships of yesterday and the reunions of tomorrow.
Holiness provokes hatred. The greater the holiness, the greater the human hostility toward it. It seems insane. No man was ever more loving than Jesus Christ. Yet even His love made people angry. His love was a perfect love, a transcendent and holy love, but HIs very love brought trauma to people. This kind of love is so majestic we can't stand it.
Those that abide in Christ as their heart's desire shall have, through Christ, their heart's desire.
I'm intrigued by all that, by religions, I'm intrigued by Jesus Christ. It's all fascinating.
I can only say that I am nothing but a poor sinner, trusting in Christ alone for salvation.
