Martha Minow

Martha Louise Minow (born December 6, 1954) is the Carter Professor of General Jurisprudence at Harvard Law School and Distinguished Service Professor at Harvard University. She served as the Dean of the Law School between 2009 and 2017, and on June 30, 2017, she stepped down from her post as Morgan and Helen Chu Dean and Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. She has taught at Harvard Law School since 1981. Minow was one of the candidates mentioned to replace U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice John Paul Stevens upon his retirement.
