José Antonio Meade Kuribreña (Spanish pronunciation: [xoˌse anˈtonjo ˈmið kuɾiˈβɾeɲa]; born 27 February 1969) is a Mexican politician, economist, lawyer, and diplomat who has served as Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of Social Development, Secretary of Energy and twice as Secretary of Finance and Public Credit. On 27 November 2017, he resigned to his post as Secretary of Finance and Public Credit as he will seek the presidency in 2018 with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).
