Jay Bell Biography

Jay Stuart Bell (born December 11, 1965) is an American former Major League Baseball shortstop who played for the Cleveland Indians (1986–88), Pittsburgh Pirates (1989–96), Kansas City Royals (1997), Arizona Diamondbacks (1998–2002) and New York Mets (2003). He was most recently the bench coach for the Cincinnati Reds, and was the bench coach for the New Zealand national baseball team that competed in the 2013 World Baseball Classic. He is currently the manager of the Trenton Thunder, the New York Yankees' Advanced Class AA affiliate in the Eastern League of Minor League Baseball.
