Muhammad Ibn Sirin (Arabic محمد بن سيرين) (born in Basra) was a Muslim mystic and interpreter of dreams who lived in the 8th century. He was a contemporary of Anas ibn Malik.
Khashyah (fear) is to fear Allah until His fear comes between you and your sins - that is true khashyah. And Dhikr (remembrance) is to obey Allah so whoever obeys Him has indeed remembered Him, and whoever does not obey Him is not a dhakir - even if he makes abundant tasbih (glorification) and recites much of Qur'an.
We used to say that those amongst us with the most sins are those who spend their time talking about the sins of others.
There is no laughter except that it is eventually followed up with weeping.
