Ian McCartney Biography
Sir Ian McCartney (born 25 April 1951) is a British Labour politician who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Makerfield constituency between 1987 to 2010, and served in the Cabinet, from 2003 to 2007, when Gordon Brown became Prime Minister. He was made a Knight Bachelor in the 2010 Dissolution Honours List.
