Everette Lee DeGolyer (October 9, 1886 – December 14, 1956), was an prominent oilman, geophysicist and philanthropist in Dallas. He was known as "the founder of applied geophysics in the petroleum industry", as "the father of American geophysics," and was a legendary collector of rare books.
