Mary Antoinette "Tony" Perry (June 27, 1888 – June 28, 1946) was an actress, director and co-founder of the American Theatre Wing. She is the namesake of the Tony Awards.
I had an interest, for as long as I could remember, in theater.
Why, when I was a child, I didn't say, as most children do, that I was going to become an actress. I felt that I was an actress and no one could have convinced me that I wasn't!
